Heard this fantastic folklore tale from Jesse Cook's performance. La Llorona, a woman who drowned her children to be with a man she loved only to be rejected by that same man and now is forced to walk the earth a ghost, weeping forever. Some legends say she kidnaps little children who wander off to replace her own.
Had some fun with the rides and games, not much there but I wasn't expecting friggin' Canada's Wonderland. Still though, wish they had a Ferris wheel, I love Ferris wheels, they just have that classic carnival kinda vibe, y'know? Also got my sister a stuffed animal, a big black an' orange fishy.
Finished off the Festival with some fireworks out in the water, pretty lights, gotta love 'em. They were actually really well done, can't wait to see some fireworks on Canada Day.
Damn though, the place was surrounded by cops and every once in awhile I'd see 'em hauling off some kid stupid enough to get caught.
Afterwords we went to my friend's house and didn't leave her place 'till around 1:00.
Yep, good times.
